Our online banking brings all your accounts and financial information into one place and offers new budgeting and spending tools to help you stay on top of your finances. 

With Interior Savings you can now: 

  • See your transactions automatically categorized and graphicallydisplayed in the account summary page
  • Change and/or exclude transaction categorizations from their spending analysis
  • Create and manage budgets based on your spending habits
  • See all your accounts in one place by linking accounts you hold at other financial institutions
  • Add assets and liabilities (e.g. car, home, or even money under the mattress) so you can see a more complete picture of your finances
  • Create account groups so that transaction history and spending analysis for related accounts can be viewed together
  • View your spending and budgets using mobile web and mobile app

What changes will I see on my mobile device? Expand/Collapse

You'll be able to view your spending, budgets and categories for accounts held with us and through other financial institutions.To learn more about our mobile banking options, click here

What if I don't want to use the new features? Expand/Collapse

You can hide the view of the spending and budgeting features, which makes the format look similar to what you have used in the past. When you use the same device to log in to your online banking, your preference of hiding the new features will be remembered.

Is there a cost to use the new features? Expand/Collapse

No, there is no additional cost to use our new online banking features. This is a free service to help you track your spending and feel more confident about the financial decisions you make.

How are your new online banking features different from Mint.com? Expand/Collapse

Mint.com is a third party software provider that allows customers to aggregate their banking information. It does not allow users in Canada to perform any online banking activities, such as pay bills or transfer money. 

Our online banking platform offers easy-to-use tools to help you see your full financial picture, all within a banking website you know and trust. 


How to use the new features

Are my past transactions already categorized? Expand/Collapse

In most cases, yes, we've been able to automatically categorize your transactions for the past six months, and we've created a default budget based on those transactions. That way, you can start tracking your spending right away. You can also change the names of those categories and create sub-categories to suit your needs.

How do I link my external accounts? Expand/Collapse

Log into Online Banking and following these steps to link your external accounts:

1. Locate External Accounts on the My Accounts page.

3. Read and accept the terms and conditions
4. You will be able to search for another financial institutions, credit cards, rewards, etc by typing in the name or entering the URL

I don't see my balance. Why? Expand/Collapse

If you're not seeing your balance, you may have selected the View Account Activity option located within the left-hand navigation. This view will only show your debits and credits - not your balance.

Your balance can be accessed from two different methods from the opening screen of Online Banking

1. Locate Accounts Summary (it's the third heading, after Messages and Spending Analysis)
    a. Option #1: Select the Account you'd like to view by selecting the account name

    b. Option #2: Find the Account you'd like to view and then select the drop-down menu under Action
        i. Select View account activity

2. A new screen will open and you'll be able to view your debits, credits and balance.

How do I link my CHOICE REWARDS® MasterCard®? Expand/Collapse

Log into Online Banking and following these steps to link your CHOICE REWARDS® MasterCard®: 

1. Locate Partner Accounts on the My Accounts page
2. Select + Link a partner account

How do I link my Credential investment account? Expand/Collapse

Log into Online Banking and following these steps to link your Credential investment account

1. Locate Partner Accounts on the My Accounts page
2. Select + Link a partner account

I have multiple accounts. What should I know? Expand/Collapse

You can set up a group name to see your spending at a glance. Combine all your primary accounts, so you can view what you want to see.

  1. Select Manage Groups, located in the left-hand navigation
  2. Select Create a new group
  3. Chose a name for your group
  4. Select the accounts you want in your group
  5. Select Create a group

I'm joint on a credit card with my spouse. What should I know? Expand/Collapse

If you and your spouse both have credit cards on a single account, and you link that account, each of you will see the other's credit card activity.

Can I add other assets and liabilities? Expand/Collapse

To help you understand your finances, you can add assets and liabilities such as a house or a car to help you see a more complete picture of your finances.

I use Small Business Online Banking. What should I know? Expand/Collapse

We recommend Small Business Online Banking users create an account Group to help distinguish account activity between business and personal accounts. For example, a group named ‘My Business’ would contain only business related accounts, and a group named ‘My Personal’ would contain only personal accounts.

To set up a Group:

  1. Select the Manage Groups link located in the left-hand navigation
  2. Select Create a new group
  3. Chose a name for your group
  4. Select the accounts you want in your group
  5. Select Create a group
