Send Money

After you've created your user profile and a recipient list you can now send an Interac® e-Transfer.

How To Send Money By Email/Mobile Phone

  1. Log in to Online Banking and go to Transfers on the left hand navigation
  2. Select Send Interac® e-Transfer underneath Transfers 
  3. Select the recipient you would like to transfer to
  4. Select the method you would like to send by
  5. Select the account you would like to send money from
  6. Enter the amount of money you want to send
  7. You can enter a short message for the recipient. The message should not contain the answer to the security question.
  8. Click Send Transfer to complete the transaction
  9. If not already updated, it will prompt you to update the recipients' security answer, and then proceed with sending.

What you should know:

  • Interior Savings Canadian personal chequing packages include Interac® e-Transfers as a transaction within your monthly chequing package transaction limit.
  • It can take up to 30 minutes* for the recipient to receive an email informing them that you have sent them money.
  • If the recipient's financial institution does not offer the e-Transfers, the deposit could take up to 3-5 business days to process and a $4.00 fee will be deducted from the deposit amount.
  • If the recipient has not deposited the money that you sent to them, you can send them an email reminder by selecting Resend on the Pending e-Transfer page. 
  • Keep the password secret so that only you and the recipient know the answer.

How To Cancel an e-Transfer

  1. Select Pending e-Transfer to view an e-Transfer that you have sent but has not yet been deposited
  2. Click Cancel to cancel the transfer and to deposit the money back into your account

What you should know:

  • Service Charges will not be refunded when you cancel an e-Transfer.
